FAQs:

-What is tallow?
Tallow is rendered fat. Rendering is the process of seperating the fat from the animal tissue. It is slowly cooked down to get a purified oil that is known as Tallow.

How long does Tallow last?
-Tallow has a very stable shelf life. It does not need to be refrigerated and hardens at room temperature. That being said, we recommend using it within 6-12 months. Should you tallow melt the oils may separate and the consistency may change; this does not change the benefits of the balm. We recommend  placing it in the refrigerator to hard back up or rewhip it to restore the consistency.

We also do not use any preservatives (YAHH :)). That being said, should water get into your tallow balm there is a chance mold may form. Do your best to keep any water out of the jar to preserve your tallow balm quality. Should mold form please discontinue.

-Is Talllow safe to use on babies?
Yes! Just like adults, Tallow will help nourish and soothe irritated and dry skin on babies. BUT in our Body butters we use essential oils witch can be irritant to sensitive baby skin. We are working on a product for the babies and persons with vey sensitive skin. Coming soon :)

-What can Tallow be used for?
Tallow can be used for so many different purposes. It's an amazing oil that really helps soothe dry and itchy skin. It also aids in healing chapped, cracked, sun damaged, and burned skin. You can use it in your hair, on your lips, as an aftershave, on diaper rashes, stretch marks, scars, blemishes, eczema, psoriasis, and as a nipple balm.
